About

Bio Diversity as a mission

With increasing threats of climate change, and resources becoming more scarce, the need for effective change and healing is apparent. One of the keys to climate resiliency is bio diversity. The more variety of elements supporting a system, the more stress a system can endure. Shifting away from monoculture and towards diverse, layered landscapes that provide food, water and shelter for even more diverse forms of life, create not just a more resilient garden, but a more resilient and flourishing ecosystem

Cory Herve

Born and raised in Sonoma County, I understand the importance of having a sense of place. I carry that into the way I tend gardens, cultivating a landscape beyond the ornamental, bringing landscapes to life. With over 10 years of experience in landscaping, I have established a set of principles that have served me well through my career. To me, the principles of holistic gardening don't end when my job is done. To me, a holistic approach is an ever expanding process that I carry into my lifestyle. Learning to solve problems in the landscape by looking at all the connecting factors extends to myself and the people I care about. I believe the artistry of nature is far greater than anything I could replicate with my skills and so I do as much as I can to bring that out in the way I garden.
